Basic engineering design of the pier structure for the Caleta Viuda desalination plant, Chile

296 m

Pier

The project involves the development of basic engineering for the structure of the auxiliary dock for the Caleta Viuda seawater desalination plant. This includes a 296-meter-long jetty, consisting of gantries with a 6-meter span, spaced at 8 meters apart except for the last four, which have an 8-meter span.

Additionally, a dilution study is conducted, which involves designing the system to be installed in the brine discharge outfall from the desalination plant to minimize the environmental impact in the discharge area.
