It is one of four vehicle bridges spanning the Niagara River at the Canadian border. It has a riveted steel superstructure with reinforced concrete deck slabs and a concrete wearing course.<\/p><p>The bridge currently has three lanes, with capacity for heavy goods vehicles. The centre lane is reversible, allowing two lanes to operate in the same direction during peak hours.
