province of Vizcaya, parallel to the N-636 road. It is a mixed-traffic line (passenger and freight) with a design speed of 250 km\/h.<\/p><p>The orography of the land, which is very uneven in this area, together with the strong conditioning factors in the design of the high-speed lines, made it necessary to design eight viaducts. The Arrazola viaduct, with a length of 1,755 m, stands out among them all.
