Palau Blau Grana, is an sports pavilion for Barcelona FC (Basketball) with a capacity for 6,000 spectators, and needed a cover area of ​​5,000 m². The architectural distribution in plan, octagon-shaped, required a structure, supported in 8 points.

The chosen structure was a lowered dome. Conditions such as the execution time (four months), a reasonable cost and aesthetics, decisively influenced the chosen structure: prefabricated and lightweight concrete pieces; Only 3 cm thick, which served as formwork for subsequent concreting of the ribs, and a continuous compression layer 7 cm thick.
