This is a study of alternatives for the location and choice of a mooring structure typology for a FRSU (Floating Storage Regasification Unit) terminal at the Port of Itaguaí in Brazil, 70 km from the capital, Rio de Janeiro.

Proes presents the multi-criteria analysis developed to determine the best alternative out of the eleven proposed for the project. They have been selected because of their importance from an economic, technical and operational point of view with the objective of evaluating the main aspects associated with an FSRU terminal project: dredging volume, length of the onshore pipeline ortrestlecost or technical difficulties.
