Feasibility study for the Lurin desalination plant works, Peru

100.000.000 US$

Budget

The project consists of the technical and economic feasibility of the marine works for a wastewater treatment plant and a desalination plant in the town of Lurín, 15 km from Lima, Peru. The hydraulic and mechanical calculations of the pipelines have been carried out, the intake structure has been designed, and the elevations in the pump chamber and the loading chamber have been calculated, providing their geometry.

The wastewater flow and the brine from the desalination plant will be combined before being discharged into the sea. In this way, pre-dilution is achieved, reducing both the salinity of the water and the pollutants.
