Hydrodynamic and sedimentary study for the improvement of the coves in the bay of Portocolom, Majorca.

A study of the agitation in the interior of the bay of Portocolom has been carried out based on the simulation of the most frequent wave conditions with MSP (Non-Linear Wave Model). Wave isoheight and free sea surface maps have been obtained for the whole bay for each initial condition.

The tidal wave has been propagated to the interior of the bay using the H2D numerical model, considering the same wave situations propagated to its access using the OLUCA-SP model, and also considering the effects of the wind. In this way, the currents induced in the study area by all the acting dynamics and a hydrodynamic model of the behaviour of the bay's inlets have been determined.
