The port facility of Las Salinas de Torrevieja is located in the port of Torrevieja, in the province of Alicante. The salt flats are made up of two natural lagoons: Torrevieja (14 km from the port of Torrevieja) and Torrevieja (14 km from the port of Torrevieja).² of wet surface ) and La Mata (7 km² ). Both lagoons are connected to the sea by a channel (acequión) with gates that regulate the volume of water according to the needs of each season of the year.

The activities carried out at the port facility are the loading of bulk vessels by means of conveyor belts and loading gantry. Exceptionally, the loading of big-bag’s or pallets with wheeled cranes and very exceptionally, salt can be unloaded with grampines.
