Basic project for the extension of the breakwater at El Tarajal in Ceuta

42 m

lenght of the structure

The project consists of the design of a structure to extend the Tarajal breakwater, which acts as a physical border between Ceuta and Morocco. It is a 42 m long permeable structure made up of a metal grid-shaped structure coated with high-density polyethylene.

The base of the structure is made up of concrete piles arranged every 6 m longitudinally, anchored to the ground by means of footings and micropiles. a concrete lintel is supported on these piles, which serves as a base for the support of a lattice structure based on metal profiles that make up the upper pedestrian area.
