The project is part of a program for the construction of 39 bridges by the Bolivian Road Administration (ABC), with a total investment of 13,200,000 $.

The construction of these bridges is divided into 7 packages: the first and second packages consist of the Viacha-Charaña section with the construction of 17 bridges; the third and fourth packages cover the Unduavi-Sacambaya section with the construction of 14 bridges; the fifth and sixth packages are located in the Caranavi-Guanay-Mapiri section with five bridges; and finally, the seventh package, which is the one in question, is located between Viacha and Hito IV with three bridges.
