The detailed project addresses the design of the onshore storage plant and the marine terminal required for the export of phosphate.
The onshore works covered the design of the main storage hall for more than 180,000 t, the cargo transfer building, the foundations for the conveyor belts, as well as general service buildings, paving, installations, etcetera. The maritime part is made up of a 190 m piloted mooring front, consisting of two structures parallel to the coastline, supporting two loading bays with a capacity of 2,500 t/h each, two berthing docks, an access bridge and two connecting bridges between the structures.
