ASMAR is developing an extensive modernisation programme for its facilities, including the implementation of a new dock for Panamax vessels.

In October 2008, these works started, within the contract signed by PROES and GHD for the provision of consultancy services in the design of dry and floating vessels for Panamax type ships in the current facilities of ASMAR, in order to undertake the Basic Engineering of the New Dry Dock, several design alternatives are proposed, among which both dry solutions and floating steel docks are considered.
