Submarine outfall for the Nerja WWTP, Malaga

2.367,8 m

total lenght

The construction of an outfall is planned to discharge the effluents treated by the Nerja WWTP. At the same time, the sewage network will have three pumping stations equipped with spillways, which will only operate sporadically to evacuate any excess flow. Two of these spillways are also underwater pipelines that keep the discharge away from the coast.

In addition, two of the wastewater pumping stations have submarine spillways: the one at the Chíllar WWTP and the one at the Burriana WWTP.
