Dilution study for Fujairah desalination plant, UAE

2,58 m3/s

Caudal adicional de rechazo de salmuera

The extension of the Fujairah seawater desalination plant (United Arab Emirates) will have to discharge an additional brine rejection flow of 2.58 m3/s into the natural environment. It is therefore necessary to design a discharge system, a diffuser section, which achieves an initial dilution such that the area affected by the salt concentration of the discharge is minimised.

The first option to be studied, is the possibility of carrying out this discharge through the current outfall of the desalination plant, and secondly, the possibilities for the design of a new diffuser section will be analysed.

Location Fujairah, United Arab Emirates

Date: 2011

Scope of the project: dilution study for the outfall of a desalination plant

Other projects

6 plants to be inspected The project consists of the inspection of the civil works of hydroelectric plants in La Coruña. These are the hydroelectric power station

The main objective of the present study is the hydrological and hydraulic analysis for the determination of the 500-year flood level of the river bed of

2,367.8 m total length In order to discharge the effluent treated by the Nerja WWTP, the construction of an outfall is planned. At the same time, the network
