Rules Viaduct on the N-323 Granada motorway

924,63 m

total lenght

140 m

maximum span

The Rules viaduct is located on the Izbor-Vélez de Benaudalla section of the Granada highway (N-323 from Bailén to Motril). The location of the viaduct has two circumstances that have conditioned the final design of the structure.

On the one hand, the stability problems of a slope have conditioned a 140 m main span. On the other hand, the location in an area of high seismicity made it necessary to install a set of seismic dissipators. Subsequently, Proes provided technical assistance to the construction company during the works.
