The section of the Monforte del Cid-Aspe High Speed Line, in the province of Alicante, with a total length of 7,840 m, has several transversal drainage works along its route to give continuity to the watercourses intercepted by the route, and also to evacuate runoff from the platform and banks.

The aim is to determine the hydraulic behaviour of the masonry structure without the planned drainage channel. The aim is to see whether the hydraulic conditions imposed by this modification have a negative influence on the design solution.
