Technical assistance to the construction of a new harbour in Nigg Bay, Aberdeen, Scotland

The project involves the construction of a protective dike for the creation of a new port in the access to Nigg Bay in Scotland, as well as the terminal area and the inner docks where ships will be moored.

The main layout of the dike is constructed with a revetment made of external armor layer of concrete armor units, while the secondary arrangements and inner docks are built with gravity-based structures (caissons). Several temporary structures need to be constructed to facilitate the construction works, such as access roads or temporary jetties for the movement of construction trucks.
