The PLOCAN (Plataforma Oceánica de Canarias) caisson is anchored in the León y Castillo dock in front of the Opcsa container terminal in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria. It is resting on the bottom, at a distance of approximately 25 m from the dock.

The work consisted of underwater inspections of the platform in order to detect possible damage, as well as various tests to identify possible pathologies, on the basis of which the corresponding report was drawn up to serve as the basis for its structural assessment.
