LBJ Express highway project in Dallas, USA

The LBJ highway is located north of Dallas, Texas. Due to the level of traffic it was carrying, it was decided to widen it by introducing a series of additional toll lanes. The planned section is about 8 km long with three additional tolled lanes in each direction. The location in an urban area means that a large part of the project will have to be carried out at different levels.

The Associated General Contractors of America (AGC) awarded it with the 2016 Alliant Build America Award in the Civil Design-Build category.

The project consists of the design of a LBJ Express highway section, relieving traffic from Interstate Highways 35E and 635 in Dallas, Texas.
